A popular annual competition, the Pelagic Triple Crown of Fishing Summer Slam features four classes: billfish, tuna, wahoo, and dorado. Teams can compete for awards and prize money worth more than $500,000 this year.
Bisbee’s East Cape Offshore

Fishing Days: August 3 – 5, 2023
One of the most well-known events held on the East Cape is the Bisbee East Cape Offshore. With a purse totaling over a million dollars, along with hefty prizes, this competition is considered the world’s richest fishing tournament (the payout in 2006 is $4,165,960 – the largest in sportfishing history). Teams must spend $1,500 to enter this event, and much more if they wish to participate in daily challenges and cash rewards. Prizes are given to those who catch the most billfish (black, blue, and striped marlin), tuna, and dorado.
