Cabo San Lucas Itinerary – 3 Day, 5 Day, and 7 Day

Cabo San Lucas, located at the southernmost point of the Baja California Peninsula, is one of Mexico’s most famous travel destinations. This vibrant resort town is recognized for its thriving cultural scene, all-inclusive hotels, amazing restaurants, all-night partying, and spectacular natural beauty – all in one location.

We’ve created these sample itineraries to help you get the most out of your vacation. They include some of the greatest experiences and activities that repeat visitors rave about.

3-Day Weekend Getaway Itinerary

If you can pack in enough activities for a wonderful Cabo San Lucas holiday, repeat visitors advocate having a three-day weekend. However, avoid attempting to pack everything in.

Day 1: Sea of Cortez Snorkeling Tour

A daylong snorkeling cruise in the Sea of Cortez is popular among visitors. Tourists who are just in town for a few days must try a terrific adventure like this to see the finest of Cabo’s natural marine splendor.

Day 2: All-Terrain Adventure

Spend some time exploring inland after a day spent on the water. Join a desert ATV trip and get off the beaten path to see Cabo’s canyons and natural attractions away from the ocean.

Day 3: Sunset Cruise

A sunset sailing cruise is a popular way for regular tourists to top off a fantastic Cabo stay. What a way to bring a memorable vacation to a close!

5-Day Weekend Cabo Vacation Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival / Settling In

Upon arrival at the airport, arrange for transportation to your hotel. Spend some time settling in after your flight, unwinding with a welcome drink while soaking up the sun, and preparing for your wonderful Los Cabos experience.

Day 2: Snorkel and Lunch Cruise

On a luxury snorkel and lunch cruise from Los Cabos, sail through the glistening waves of the Cabo coast. Pass by renowned landmarks such as El Arco and Lover’s Beach. Snorkel in the water to encounter schools of tropical fish and coral reef formations before feasting on international cuisine for lunch.

Day 3: Cabo San Lucas Gastronomic Walking Tour

While touring Cabo San Lucas’ colorful downtown section, feast your senses on the spectacular culinary delights of gourmet restaurants. Sample local Mexican cuisine while learning about the country’s culture and traditions.

Day 4: Wild Canyon Adventure Park Tour

Visit the Wild Canyon adventure park, where you may participate in a wide range of activities and extreme sports. This vast canyon features a suspension bridge that’s more than 1,000 feet long and 160 feet high at its lowest point.

Park admission includes the suspension bridge, a wildlife sanctuary, and a water park with pool and water slides. ATVs or camels can be used to explore the area. There’s also an eight-part zip-lining course or a bungee leap from a glass-bottomed gondola dangling 300 feet over the canyon’s floor.

Day 5: Lovers Beach glass-bottom boat ride / Cabo Nightlife

Take a glass-bottom boat trip out to Lovers Beach. Relax and rejuvenate in the gorgeous ocean!

At sundown, enjoy Cabo’s well-known nightlife. Cabo Wabo is the place to be if you want to dance the night away.

7-Day Weeklong Cabo Vacation Itinerary

If you plan to stay for a week, you can pace yourself and see even more of Cabo. Some guests choose to have different itineraries, with some days reserved for water activities and another day or two dedicated to land excursions.

Day 1: Mountain Bike Tour

Start your trip on the right track by going on a mountain bike excursion. A half-day excursion cycling down dust-covered trails will appeal to both novice and experienced riders.

Day 2: Snorkeling Tour

Is there anything better than getting in the water after a day of exploring the desert? Take a snorkeling trip and explore the stunning Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo coastlines, including the famous Land’s End arch.

Day 3: Swim with Friendly Dolphins

Even the most introverted tourists will enjoy having fun swimming with the friendly dolphins. There are both private and group dolphin cruises available.

Day 4: Whale Watching Tour

Can’t get enough of the ocean and what it has to offer? Take a whale-watching cruise to get up close and personal with these magnificent marine beasts.

Day 5: Go on a Camel Safari

Visitors can explore Cabo by ATV, bike, or boat, but those who come back again and again to experience the magic of Cabo opt to ride while exploring the Baja desert.

Day 6: Hiking and Zipline Adventure Trip

Book a hiking and zip line trip for a day of high adventure and discover some of the greatest views of the region from a birds-eye view.

Day 7: Sailboat or Private Yacht Cruise

A relaxed sailboat or private yacht cruise is a perfect way to cap off a wonderful holiday and prepare for the return journey ahead.
